Dickson is also home to the Renaissance Center. This innovative center is
a learning center that was opened in fall 1999 by The Jackson Foundation.
With courses in art, music, drama, computer, math, Spanish and more, the
Renaissance Center is ''a place for families to come and learn together,''
to quote Doug Jackson, its executive director.
Career training is available at the Tennessee Technology Center. This learning
center, located in Dickson is one of the state's 26 technology centers for
occupational learning. If you understand a bit about technology, and want
to expand your knowledge, the Tennessee Technology Center is for you. If
you have an interest in being a Dental assistant, Automotive Technology,
Commercial Truck Driving, Practical Nursing or various other occupations
then Tennessee Technology Center is the place for you.
Dickson has five elementary schools, one middle school and two high schools
that serve the community.
