Greenbrier and Ridgetop, about 20 miles from downtown Nashville, have small
subdivisions popping up all over. Locals like the ease of living in a small
town coupled with the convenience of being close to Interstate 65.
Greenbrier is building a large city park to accommodate a multitude of sporting
tastes. A small park next to City Hall is the scene of the July 4 Turning
of the Pig celebration each year. The community-wide picnic raises money
for the Greenbrier High School band.
The Greenbrier Historical Society has a museum and library across from City
Hall on College Street, which is open to the public during the week.
Ridgetop has recently built a new fire hall, and city leaders are focusing
on other public works improvements to the town.
