In Joelton, it's not hard to find that country house with five acres. You're
almost certain to catch something if you fish the 60-acre Marrowbone Lake.
This lake is regularly stocked with all of your favorite kind of fish; bluegill,
bass, trout and catfish. Serious horseshoe players also find a special attraction
in Joelton: more than three dozen horseshoe courts can be found at Jack Freeman
Courts, including the first indoor courts in Middle Tennessee.
The Joelton area is the home of Beaman Park. Beaman Park is a rugged 1,500-acre
greenway that offers nature trails, for all the nature enthusiasts to see
this beautiful area at its best, as well as interpretive hikes. Free Will
Baptist Bible College has also found a new home, at ease with the quaint
wide open spaces Joelton offers. The Nashville college plans to move from
a nine-acre site on West End Avenue to a sprawling 123-acre site in Joelton,
with plenty of room to grow.
