Mt. Juliet has a population of 12,285. Mt. Juliet has been labeled one
of the fastest growing communities in the state of Tennessee. Mt. Juliet
is home to many individuals who work in Nashville, but want to live in
an area with a small-town feel. It is home to the Villages of Mt. Juliet,
the largest commercial/residential subdivision in the county.
Education is a high priority for Mt. Juliet, as well as Wilson County
as a whole. The city has six elementary schools, two middle schools and
Mt. Juliet High School. A new Mt. Juliet Elementary school is currently
being built with completion set for next fall. Some students also go
to Wilson Central High.
Charlie Daniels Park has a community center with basketball courts,
walking tracks, a large enclosed safe playground, a brand new outdoor
amphitheater for outdoor concerts, plays and programs, tennis courts,
covered pavilions for picnics, and two football fields. The city also
has a youth baseball complex. Mundy Memorial Park hosts several softball
leagues, and softball tournaments. It also has picnic pavilions, a playground
and a one mile walking track to name a few of the things at this Mt.
Juliet Park, that any sport enthusiast might enjoy.
Mt. Juliet is ideally situated to where residents of the town have easy
access to both Old Hickory and Percy Priest Lakes and Long Hunter State
Park. Percy Priest Lake has a 22 mile shoreline that extends through
nearby Marshall County.
